Certificates and Qualifications

This section of the Home and Learn website is devoted to the kinds of certificates and qualifications that are available in the world of IT. If you're a complete beginner, we'd recommend the ECDL. But this is only if you'll be working in Europe (UK included). For those in the UK, an NVQ is well worth doing. But you need to reach at level 3 to be of use to an employer. From more professional (and more expensive) IT qualifications, explore the Microsoft certificates below. The Comptia ones are very good if you want to work with Networks, or the hardware side of things. They are internationally recognised.

5 Comptia A+ (highly regarded certificate)
